Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja

A world of ninjas, gods, one small town and a lot of dungeons. “Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja” is a single character turn based RPG. Play as Izuna through a series of different dungeons if efforts to save a cursed village. This game has a wide selection of weapon, items and monsters. Do not be fooled by other reviews stating that that it is brutally hard, it is not. I actually found the game quite easy to match the light hearted story.

In some ways Izuna reminds me of the old Nintendo Game “Dragon Warrior”. Both games have an element of gambling when you explore the world. This isimportant to note because you have to make choices and you will not be able to load an old save point when you die, the game saves and you loose everything you are carrying. I personally love this and think that it is unique. This makes every battle more interesting because you can go from mindless hacking and slashing to being surrounded by foes …and if you are not paying attention, then good buy items and gold. I’m sure the developers had a good laugh over this once they made the decision to make death grim.

Izuna has to be one of the most addictive DS games I have played to date. If you can get over the fact that you might lose some items and coin when you first learn to play, Izuna will be a fun game in the long run.

Conclusion: Highly recommended for RPG fans.
