Arachnophilia

September 5th, 2008

While I am on my big Kogragate kick I feel the need to post yet another amazing game. Arachnophilia in my opinion is amazing by design. It is a very simple concept with simple smooth graphics. You play the role of a hungry spider and the goal is to live as long as possible, funny how our lives are not that much different.

You build a web while a series of insects fly into it. You then click on the insects to eat them restoring your web and life meter which will always be going down at a slow rate. The tricky part is that if you do not eat them fast enough you web will get weak and eventually break witch might lead to starvations and game over.

As you build stronger or complex webbing the rate at which bug fly into it will increase. It’s not only speed that is a problem but the types of insects change getting bigger and stronger. Ladybugs, bees, moths, even humming birds and bats all eventually get caught in or break your webbing.

It’s important to develop a survival strategy that will allow you to survive this onslaught of web thrashers and spider food. The result is a very fun and creative game.
