This was a litte snag I ran into helping a friend setup the Japanese version of Dragon Quest 5. It seems that the game has some copy protection that will leave you stuck on the boat forever.

I did some snooping around on forums and I discovered this post which worked perfect for me.

These codes are for any cart that supports action replay. Just add the Game ID and cheat code and your off.

Game ID:     YV5J 030CD896

Code:          2209AC50 000000CC

If you are runnign a DSTT you will need to edit the usercheat.dat with an R4 cheatcode editor. You will have to add the game, then add the ID and code. then copy the file back onto the micro SD.
