Punch out!
So I’m not sure exactly how I can say this without offending some Punch Out fans… but the updated Wii version of the game is extremely disappointing.
Updated the graphics, remake the exact same game that was made in 1884 and tag a 50 dollar price tag on it and you sadly have a very short game that reflects it’s 25 year old age.
How can you remake a game form 25 years ago on an 8 bit system and leave almost all the content exactly the game. Sure the “end game content” adds a whole other element to this game but I can hardly see too many people with the skill to get past Glass Joe part 2.
I really feel that this was a lasy remake and a great disappointment. They did not take full advantage of the Wii controllers and to even finish the game you will most likely have to use the Wiimote as a classic style controller.
There is no career mode which I found very disappointing… and the classic content can be completed within less than a day. There is no reason to buy this game. It is a rental 100% and the boxing on the Wii Sports will probably fulfill your boxing needs over a longer period of time.
Sadly I’m going to have to drop a five out of ten from this recycled trash. That is being generous!
