This is the new gaming headset by “Creative” called “Fatal1ty”. I picked this up not to long ago after my eighty dollar Microsoft headset died.
It’s pretty much a typical headset that uses mini headphone connectors for your sound and microphone. It is built sturdy and is very comfortable. The one unique feature that I really do enjoy is the detachable microphone. It works well and is brilliant in my experience with the headset.
I consider the Fatal1ty headset to be an excellent deal at fifty dollars and I am very happy with the mini headphone plugs because it works with a speaker to headphone switch I own.
In the past I have had some annoying issues with windows and UBS headsets so I typically steer clear of them. The only negative thing I can say about this headset is the sound quality is pretty average which shouldn’t be a problem unless you are a sound fanatic. Overall I think comfort is the strong point here. This is just another reason “Creative” remains my favorite company for computer sound devices.

Here is a piece of hardware that I have been using for over two years now. The “Zboard Fang” has got to be one of the most interesting looking keyboards I have ever seen. It’s basically designed to give the computer gamer a competitive advantage through its unique design and key layout.
Obviously since I have been actively using this keyboard for over two years I really do like it. I love the size of the Fang and how it can sit next to your main keyboard without taking up to much extra room on the desk. The movement keys are big and that really makes game play comfortable. Beside the movement keys are two keys commonly used to strife or reload in first person shooters. These keys are also big which really increases the users accuracy on this keyboard. The red shift key sits along the side which actually works better than having the shift key on a standard keyboard. I also think that the six big keys you see on the lower half of the fang is brilliant and do offer a huge advantage over a standard keyboard.
All my negative thoughts about the fang come from the smaller keys on the top. The number keys that you usually press to switch in games weapons are smaller than on a standard keyboard and it is annoying. I feel as though they thought it was more important to place 11 useless number button at the top instead of 5 useful ones. Over time you will get use to it, but it is a real pain if you play in the dark. So I end up tapping buttons on my standard keyboard instead of trying to fumble around with the top row of the Fang.
The Fang comes with some customized key layout software, but I found it better to just change they key configuration in each game. This way you don’t always have to go back and forth with keyboard layouts. You just setup the game and it’s good to go forever. The other thing that I wanted to note about the Fang is that it is perfect for laptop gamers. It takes the pressure and wear off you laptop keyboard and gives you much larger keys to work with. It’s also small enough to fit in your laptop case with out any hassle.

Here is my setup with the Fang, you can see i am using a A4 tech mini keyboard so that the number keys do not get in my way. The Fang and mouse are in balance so your not turning your body in odd directions.
